Printsmart Graphics have worked with the DRA for some years, taking their detailed maps and printing them in the huge sizes they require for their work.

Disaster Relief's "Big Map" exercises are held around Australia to assist communities in identifying possible risks and hazards and developing resilience-building strategies.

DRA was named the 2023 Australian Charity of the Year. The Award honours DRA's unique skill and capacity to assist communities in preparing for future disasters.

The fabric is 3000mm wide, but we have created a special joining process for the very large maps to allow you to easily transport and store them in smaller sections. The largest map we have printed was 16 metres by 14 metres.

We do not provide the artwork for the large fabric maps as we leave the difficult task of creating the scaled maps to the experts! We take your final map and check that the resolution is high enough to print very clearly at the very large scale it needs to be. Once you are happy with our proof to show you the detail that will be seen at that scale, our professional production team will digitally print the map for you. The only exception to the rule is our RPG Gaming Mats as we actually design those in-house to your specifications.

The graphics material is made from a 290g tight weave polyester fabric with a black backing, that is both Light Weight and Wrinkle free. The fabric is also Fire Resistant.


We supply all our fabric maps and mats with durable canvas storage bags with handles, to enable you to transport them with ease.

We require your artwork and/or images to be no less than 150dpi at full size, with all fonts converted to outlines. The higher quality your artwork is, the better your map will look.

Printsmart Graphics have obtained a reputation with Australian Government Agencies, and Local Area Councils for printing large fabric maps to enable disaster and town planning to move forward in a much easier way.

Our maps are printed at a very high resolution on a very high quality, highly durable 290gsm blockout fabric, which enables you to walk on the map so that the whole area can be explored and worked with at close quarters.

They are supplied in sections that attach together when laid out, and come complete with handy storage bags to make the map very easy to store.
